Research Collaboration with Yale University

By Research Team

MultiTarga is excited to announce a new research collaboration with Yale Univerity's Zheng Wang for Host Pathogen Selective Enrichment.

The two-year project will focus on developing new methods for comprehensive Host-Pathogen profiling, with applications in both basic research and clinical diagnostics. Yale researchers will utilize MultiTarga's technology to investigate the relationship between various Host/Vector Pathogen Systems.

"We're thrilled to be working with Dr. Wang's talented team at Yale," said Alex Gerdisch, COO at MultiTarga. "Their expertise in highly specific biomolecular assays, combined with our Multi-Targeted Priming technology, creates an opportunity to make significant advances across life sciences."

The collaboration will include:

  • -Development of new primer sets for comprehensive Host Pathogen analysis
  • -Validation studies comparing next-generation sequencing approaches
  • -Investigation of gene expression changes in various disease states

"MultiTarga's technology offers a promising approach to Host Pathogen analysis that will complement our existing methods as well as open up completely new avenues of research," said Dr. Zheng Wang, Research Scientist at Yale University. "We're particularly interested in its potential for rapid clinical applications."

The first results from this collaboration are expected to be published in mid-2025. Updates on the project will be shared on our website as they become available.
